The Mission of Von Trotha-Firestien Historic Farm at Bracewell
is to preserve and celebrate the history and heritage
of The Farm while educating the public
on past and present farming methods and farm life
in Northern Colorado in a rural setting.
Non-Profit Status Approved for The Farm
In 2014, Von Trotha-Firestien Historic Farm at Bracewell became a 501(c)3 donor-supported non-profit organization. The Farm applied for this status in order to enable the organization to pursue additional funding and to accept donations.
Donated funds will be directed towards several areas. Your donation will:
Help to establish a scholarship fund for Weld County high school students who plan to pursue college level study in agriculture, ag business, archaeology or anthropology
Help to continue the preservation of the historic farm buildings which represent over 110 years of European settlement in the Bracewell area
Help to further develop educational programs and hands on activities to educate people of all ages about agriculture
Help in preserving the history of the people who came to Northern Colorado and worked to develop and improve methods for irrigated farming, sugar beet cultivation, and livestock feeding
Help us celebrate The Farm by becoming a "Friend of the Farm"!
Support our mission of preservation and education!
